Amrita Matharu is a practicing architect and founder of Archam Design. Born in Delhi, she studied at Sushant School of Architecture in Gurgaon. After graduating she worked with Matra Architects and Rurban Planners in Delhi, where she worked on a variety of architectural and interior projects. She has done her post graduation in architectural design from Politecnico Di Milano. In 2019 she established Archam Design in Gurgaon.

Archam Design has an interest in combining the principles of art, aesthetics , spatiality, context and functionality in projects. Each project is approached with the focus of establishing its identity formulated through its unique brief, site and concept. The commitment of the studio is to design and execute each project with exemplary planning and conceptualization. In our work, humble and natural materials are used in design precisely and in a contemporary way, with attention given to ample natural light and ventilation. Finely crafted detailing and design give the projects an experiential, tactile and visual impact. Simple design, detailed well, made for experience.
